Explicit consent texts

1. What is explicit consent and how does it work?

Explicit consent is an approval given on a specific subject, based on information and of your free will (KVKK Art. 3/1-a). At Searcher it is taken under these principles:

• Every consent is separate. Accepting the Terms of Use or confirming you read the privacy notice is not consent.
• No box is pre-ticked; you tick it yourself.
• None of them is a condition of using the service. If you do not consent you use Searcher as usual; only the related extra feature does not work.
• You can withdraw at any time in Settings › My permissions, with one click, as easily as giving it.
• Every consent is recorded with the text version and time you approved; we keep these records to prove your consent.

2. AI-assisted evaluation and transfer abroad (candidates)

Text: "I give my explicit consent to a pseudonymised summary of my profile being transferred to our AI provider to evaluate matching results with AI support, and to its processing in the countries where that provider's servers are located (including abroad)."

What is transferred: your work module and occupation, skills and levels, years of experience and experience descriptions (employer names masked), education and certificate types, languages, city and country, work authorisation and mobility, pay expectation and notice period, your headline and summary text. Your name, e-mail, photo, identity document, username and former employer names are not transferred.

Note: do not write phone numbers, addresses or other identifying details in the headline and summary; names and employer names are masked, but other details in free text may not be.

Purpose: scoring and explaining your fit for roles.

Recipient: our AI provider. Country of the servers: [Yapay zekâ sağlayıcısı sunucu ülkesi].

Duration: until you withdraw consent or delete your account. When you withdraw, your document is deleted from the provider.

If you do not consent: you keep matching; your score is computed by rules only and you lose no right. This feature works once the provider integration is activated; a consent given earlier is only recorded.

3. Processing your identity document (for those requesting verification)

Text: "I give my explicit consent to the image of the identity document I upload for identity verification, including any special-category personal data it may contain, being reviewed by authorised Searcher staff."

Why it is requested: to confirm that your account belongs to a real person and to grant the verified badge.

The document may show information such as religion or blood group. You can cover these fields before uploading since they are not needed for verification (for example cover the back of the card or the relevant field). Only the part showing your name, photo and the document's validity is enough.

Who sees it: only staff authorised for verification; the document is opened through a signed link valid for 5 minutes.

Duration: the document is deleted 30 days after the decision; only the result and date are kept. On a deletion request it is deleted immediately.

If you do not consent: identity verification cannot be done and you cannot get the verified badge; you can use all other services. This consent is asked again at every upload.

4. Commercial electronic messages (e-mail newsletter)

Text: "I approve Searcher sending commercial electronic messages, including campaigns, product news and the market-data newsletter, to my e-mail address."

This approval falls under Law No. 6563 on the Regulation of Electronic Commerce and the Regulation on Commercial Communication and Commercial Electronic Messages.

Out of scope: offer notifications, account and security e-mails, deletion and export notices and other messages necessary for the service do not depend on this approval and are sent even if you do not approve. You can manage these notification preferences in Settings › Notifications.

Withdrawal: with one click, free of charge, from the link in every message or in Settings › My permissions; after withdrawal no commercial messages are sent.

If you do not approve: no feature of the service is affected.

5. How to withdraw consent and what happens

Switching off the toggle next to each consent in Settings › My permissions is enough. Withdrawal is recorded immediately.

Withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of processing up to that moment. Your consent records are kept as a record without name or e-mail for proof (see the Retention and destruction policy).
